We now provide builds of Mycorrhiza in GitHub releases, built automatically by CI for seven operating systems and two architectures. If your operating system of choice already has a maintained package of Mycorrhiza, you should use it. Package maintainers are recommended to build binaries themselves rather than rely on our builds.
-
Required Go version was bumped to 1.27.3. That includes over two years of security fixes, you really should upgrade.
-

Some visual adjustments, small bug fixes and internal refactoring were done. This also includes the very difficult qtpl refactoring; we no longer use that templating engine.
Future direction
We want to drop some features and rework others.
The Russian translation will temporarily be removed, with English remaining as the only language for some time; the reason for that is internal difficulties in maintaining the translation system. In general, having translations is desired, we want it to be easy to have many languages supported.
Anonymous wikis are to be removed entirely one day. This feature, which originally was a defining one for Mycorrhiza, ended up undesired in the modern web and brought a lot of complexity.
We consider bringing SQLite into the program. Yes, it's a database, but not a server one. It would handle all non-Git-backed things, such as categories, users, etc. Textual and media hyphae would remain Git-backed for the foreseeable future.
The project development will probably move from GitHub to Codeberg at some point. GitHub repo will certainly remain as a mirror.
